Oprah Winfrey On Obama's Trail

header_121007_03.jpg

Our ruler Oprah has informed us who we should be voting for. Here's pics and footage of Oprah Winfrey joining her beloved Barack Obama on the campaign trail in Iowa. And stumping for him in a major way. Seriously, I think she's making sure she's got a lock on that First Lady position if something happens. Have you ever seen a woman who so transparently wants to run our country? Oprah's appearances on Obama's campaign stops have led to sold-out venues and general "We Love Oprah, There's An Election, What?" madness. Oprah described Obama as "the man who I believe has a new vision for America." That new vision being giving Oprah the Eastern Seaboard to rule. Can you imagine her in charge? We'd all be very well-read but she's probably bring back the guillotine.

Oprah has never really gotten behind a presidential candidate like this before. I wonder why she's so adamant about this one. Hmmmm.... what could it be?

Wonder what Mrs. Obama has to say about this? Three somes?

Oprah is racist. SHOCKER! She's fighting for this guy cause he's black. She hasn't (and wouldn't) do this for anyone else.

Oprah is a complete racist. I cannot wait to vote against this shithead.

Agreed Kate. Won't get my vote either.

I must admit, Obama may have had my vote BEFORE Oprah endorsed him. Now...no way in hell.

Could be worse...he could have Babs Streisand singing for him. Dear God! My ears are in pain just imagining that.

I'm confused. Oprah endorsed Obama, so now Obama's tainted? Have you seen the list of people who shill for your favorite candidates?

Not that I'm casting my vote for Obama (or Oprah), but this is politics, people.

Still waiting for a viable candidate...

T-Bone - yeah, gee, what Could it Be??? Hmmm.

Seriously, the chances of him winning are very slim. And as much as I can't stand the other options, I'd take Hillary over him any day. There is something about him that doesn't sit well with me.

SIGH. NO ONE calls white people racists for backing another white candidate! But you have a black person backing another black person and they're racist?!? SERIOUSLY!?!

Maybe if you actually put yourself in a black person's shoes and see that you have, for the first time in the history of the United States a viable black candidate for the Presidency and maybe you can understand how exciting that would be for someone who is black.

And I'm not saying that I'm going to vote for him, still a toss up in my book. But still, the fact that race plays a role in her backing does not make something racist. Racism is the belief that ALL members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. It is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief.

That's not what's going on here.

And quite frankly, I find the comments on this page WAY more racist than Oprah backing Obama. The fact that you all won't vote for Obama simply because he has a black woman supporting him IS racist.

I don't think any of the people on this
blog were planning on voting for this guy anyways. Nothing to do with Oprah except maybe The Devil person. He was inexperienced then and
he's inexperienced now.

I love this quote: "Can you imagine her in charge? We'd all be very well-read but she's probably bring back the guillotine." James Frey would be the first in shackles.

I enjoy some of Oprah's shows, but for the most part, I feel a lot of her programs are one-sided and promote her agenda...not that she claims that she is a journalist.

She does a lot of good in the world, but there is just something about her that doesn't sit right. Maybe it is the feeling that she thinks she is so much more enlightened than the rest of us.

Although I find Obama likable, he doesn't have much experience and I don't agree with his policies.

I think it is really nice from Oprah to support Obama with millions of dollars on the campaign, but lets be fair for a moment -- the Clinton's are working very hard in behalf of the poor not just in America but all over the world, including Africa -- they have the experience, and can turn around a run down American economy/name in the world scene -- Oprah should be able to see that and give full support to Obama in 8 years after the Clintons cleaned up the current political mess ...

Barack has no experience in office he didnt even finish his term in senate. Experience makes the difference and I along with all sensible people should not vote for joe smoe.
