Jake Gyllenhaal graces the cover of the Italian version of Vanity Fair, holding his trusty bicycle, which we haven't seen him ride in far too long. Jake looks as studly as ever, but I'm a little disappointed that he is wearing a shirt in all of the shots. Perhaps he wasn't in the mood during the photo shoot, since he has been having a very rough time dealing with the death of his "amico vero" Heath Ledger.
The shoot does look like it would have been difficult. It seems most of the photos show Jake engaging in traditional male bonding activities all by himself. Jake in a boat on a pond. Jake fishing. As much as I enjoy looking at him, I imagine that the scenes only served to remind Jake that he recently lost his best bud.
Matthew McConaughey and Lance Armstong need to help brush him off, squeeze him back into those tight shorts, and get him back up on that bicycle!
